Gallery 32 Presents Veterans’ Art Show Honoring Creative Voices of Those Who Served
Exhibition Runs February 3–22, 2026 | Community Reception on February 14
CANANDAIGUA, NY — Gallery 32 is proud to present a special Veterans’ Art Show on view February 3 through February 22, 2026, featuring artwork created by veterans from the VA Finger Lakes, as well as local veterans from the surrounding community.
This powerful exhibition highlights the artistic talents, personal stories, and lived experiences of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Through a range of media and styles, participating artists explore themes of service, memory, resilience, healing, and identity. The show offers visitors a meaningful opportunity to engage with veterans’ perspectives beyond the uniform.
A public reception for artists and the community will be held on
Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event invites community members to meet the artists, view the exhibition, and celebrate the creative contributions of local veterans.
“This exhibition creates space for veterans to share their voices through art,” said Diane Olivet, Gallery 32 Manager. “It’s an opportunity for the community to connect, listen, and honor the depth and diversity of veterans’ experiences.”
“This is more than an exhibit, it’s a reflection of healing, resilience, and the unique stories our Veterans choose to tell through creative expression,” explains Janice Putrino, VA Finger Lakes, Whole Health Program Manager.
The Veterans’ Art Show underscores Gallery 32’s commitment to inclusive programming and to supporting artists whose work reflects important community narratives.

Art Instructor, Tina Blackwood, led Ferris Hills residents into the world of wool and felting. Needle felting is a fiber art process that involves repeatedly poking a barbed needle into wool to compress, harden, and shape it into a desired form. After exploring the many-colored materials, they then put their new skills to work making colorful, handcrafted coasters.

We host a variety of exhibitions throughout the year, featuring works by our artists as well as curated shows exploring different themes and ideas. Our exhibitions are designed to challenge and inspire, and we encourage visitors to engage with the art and with each other.
